My new single ‘Sparkle Motion’ Out now on Tulipa Recordings

My new single for ‘Sparkle Motion’ is now available on Tulipa Recordings, my third release for the label after ‘The Holy Ghost’ and ‘Everything Comes In Threes’ in 2013 and 2014 respectively.

This track was born out of the same studio sessions as my recent release for Sudbeat, ‘Right Side Of Wrong’ and is kind of like the tougher, more techno influenced big brother piece.

Completing the package are two superb remixes from esteemed German house duo Piemont and Ukrainian Techno legend, Spartaque who both deliver in their own inimitable and distinctive styles. Grab it while it’s hot 😉

Showcase Volume 2 Compilation (Part1) Out Now On Selador Recordings

selador showcase 2- part1Clear the decks. The second instalment of Selador’s Showcase series has landed.

Gathering together some familiar label favourites alongside an array of exciting new talent, the album features ten exclusive tracks from some of the artists that will be spearheading the label over the coming months. And being the kind, considerate souls we are, we’ve split the album up into two easily digestible parts. The first of which is out on March 23rd.

Part 1 gets off to a flying start with the inimitable Piemont. The German duo have been stalwarts of the label from the very beginning and it’s great to have them back with a brand new original track. Entitled ‘You’, this little gem dishes up wave upon wave of classy house textures. It’s stylish and assured, effortlessly smooth and unmistakably Piemont. Just the way we like it.

Next in line it’s our great pleasure to welcome Third Son to our roster. The young Welsh wizard has been steadily make a name for himself with releases on Noir Music, Material & Suara amongst others and we’re very happy to be adding Selador to that impressive list. ‘How I Feel’ is a hypnotic slice of tech house. Dark and chilling in all the right places, it powers along with all the swagger of a young gun slinger. Fire!

Portuguese born, Berlin based producer Joal follows up his successful Climbers remix for the label next with the first of a handful of original productions we have lined up from him. ‘Tomorrow’ is a captivating piece of modern deep house which commandeers more than it’s fair share of otherworldly magic. Spell binding stuff.

Another new name we welcome into the fold, Jaap Ligthart weighs in next with ‘Tour De Jours’. A wonderfully restrained sophisticated serving of deep house that steadily creeps up on your when you least expect it, this serves as a prequel to his first fully fledged release for the label which is currently in the scheduling queue patiently waiting its turn. A tasty taster if you will 😉

And finally for Part 1, Berlin based Justin Massei returns after his debut on the first Showcase compilation with ‘Tell Them’, a solid gold specimen of proper house music. Full of infectious energy, driven by relentless synth stabs and employing a cheeky wee vocal sample, we dare you not to dance to this.

So then, 5 more beauties with which to impress your friends and generally elevate your social status.

Part 2 follows next week. Stand by.

Selador Recordings – 50 shades better than all the rest. Come and get some 😉

Reloads 2 EP Out Now on Selador Recordings

Reloads 2 PackshotAs 2014 draws to a close and we look back on what has been a fantastic year for us here at Selador, we’d like to take this opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has played their part in such a successful 12 months that went far and beyond what we could ever have hoped to achieve.

To wrap things up we’d like to finish the year on our second Reloads EP, the occasional series where we invite some of our roster of producers to get to grips with a few highlights from our back catalogue and boy did they step up to the plate.

Leading by example is Kucna Muzika with their remix of Piemont’s ‘So What’ which was part of our fifth release way back during the summer of 2013. It’s a chunky motha of a mix that has already had plenty of supporters amongst the lucky few to have it upfront. Main room Tech House at it’s finest.

Next up is Snilloc with his interpretation of our very first release, Samu.l’s ‘Restless Dreams’. Keeping things deep but embellishing on the original’s hypnotic appeal, the up and coming Hungarian producer gives this modern classic a new lease of life, not a moment too soon.

Time for another visit to the ‘Naughty Forest’ next as Beaumont Stanford & Matt Davis take on our very own Dave Seaman’s collaboration with Mr Funkagenda. And this little beauty has balls! Centered around a monster bass, the vocal and melodies then weave some black magic between them that would leave Dynamo dumfounded!

And finally, we’ve got not one, but two new versions of Dee Montero’s ‘Fade Into Noir’, one of the standout tracks from our first Showcase compilation earlier this year. Dimitri Nakov is the one on remix duty here, delivering both a groove driven punchy dub and a more subtle, stripped back variation showcasing a little more of Aya’s dreamy vocal. Take your pick, the choice is yours.

Until next time then, we’d like to wish your all a very Merry Xmas and Happy New Year. Thank you for your continued support and we promise that next year is set to be even bigger and better.

Selador Seasonal Greetings to one and all… with bells on.

Piemont ‘Give It Up’ E.P – Out now on Selador Recordings

SEL005 artworkBasking in the glory of love from the likes of Hot Since 82, Nic Fanciulli, Lee Burridge, Pirupa and Jozif,  Selador Recordings is pleased to unleash our fifth release on the world in the shape of Piemont’s ‘Give It Up’ EP.

The 4 tracker features two originals from the German production duo who have already appeared on the label with their remix of Han Haak’s ‘Jezebel’s Milk’ earlier in the year which is a track which also featured on my Selador Sessions compilation.

Firstly, the lead track ‘Give It Up’ is a funky little percussive house groove driven by a monster baseline and topped of with a simple but nagging vocal hook. There are also two fantastic remixes that come courtesy of Samu.l (another favourite of the label) who delivers a deep bass heavy workout and Stephan Hinz takes things into more melodic techno territory.

The second track, ‘So What’ is not just an added bonus either, it could easily be a lead track in it’s own right. It’s another that is typical of Piemont’s trademark sound and has been doing the business for me in my sets for the last couple of months.

Finally, I must say a big thank you to Iranian artist/designer Sajad Safajooee who supplied the ‘Green Traffic Lights’ artwork for this release. You can Follow, like, get in touch and see all his other works at

So go pay him a visit :-)
