M.O.D.E. Remix EP out now on Audio Therapy

by Dave on April 26, 2010

After remixing Dave Seaman’s “Gobbledygook” and Lewie Day’s “Striptease” we warmly welcome back M.O.D.E. to the Therapy fold and once again they have done us proud. Picking two of their favourite tracks from our catalogue, M.O.D.E. have lovingly remixed Guy J’s “Shiver” and Nick Muir’s “Tenko” adding their own tech house/techno infused touch to both tracks.

With the release of their ‘Cobra’ single on Yoshitoshi which was one of the biggest tracks of WMC Miami and with further remix projects for Global Underground, Renaissance, Shinichi and SAW in the coming months it looks like its going to be quite a summer for the M.O.D.E. guys.

Hope & Audio Therapy in Ibiza

by Dave on April 21, 2010

After the success of their night at the Winter Music Conference in Miami for the last three years, Hope Recordings and Audio Therapy are now going to take their own legendary brand of acid house merriment on the road starting with a night at Space in Ibiza on Saturday 5th June 2010. Joining Nick Warren & Dave Seaman on the decks will be D Ramirez, Egostereo and Pete Gooding for what promises to be rollicking start to the summer festivities. “We’ve been talking for a while about doing some more shows together around the world after the amazing response we’ve had in Miami”, said Dave Seaman “And what better place to start than one of the best clubs in the world. They don’t come much bigger and better than Space. We’re all really excited.” Watch this space for further details.

It’s unclear as to whether you would class ‘Clear For Take Off’ as a collaboration between Neil Quigley & Cylon or more a meeting of minds between these two very talented producers.

Cylon better known as DJ Meri or one half of Rulers Of The Deep had been messing around with a loop for a new tune and sent it through to Neil Quigley to see what he thought. After loving the sound of the loop Neil kept in touch with Meri to see how the track was progressing and whilst he was waiting for the finished track decided to ask Meri for the loop and the parts so he could have a go himself. Impressed by the result of Neil’s mix, Meri quickly set about finishing up his own mix under his Cylon guise and pair contacted yours truly at Therapy to sign the track up.

Not content with the 2 quality mixes on offer we quickly tracked down a certain Mr Paolo Mojo to see if he would like to remix the track and sprinkle his magic dust on the package and boy has he done just that, turning in not one but two mixes in total. So if you like your deep house through to your percussive tech house then we can guarantee there is a mix here to suit your needs.

After the success of their “Dagobert” release with us last year and their stunning remix of Dave Seaman’s “Gobbledygook”, Marco G & Amin Golestan make a most welcome return to the Therapy fold with “Deadpool”. It’s been a great start to the year for the guys with the release of their “Sanctuary” track with an excellent Muzzaik Remix on Wazzup? Records along with Amin being voted number 1 in the DJ Magazine Middle East DJ Top 50 Awards.

So then along with the excellent original we also have some rather amazing remixes. First up is a remix from Pirupa & Pigi who unless you have been on Mars since the start of the new year have been rooted at the top of the Beatport Chart with their tech house fueled “Sweet Devil” for the past month and longer. Also on the bill is another production duo iO & Sender who have turned out a great groovy house fused remix. Finally we have a remix from fellow Dubai DJ Raxon who toughens up the beats creating a great percussive tech house workout.

A fantastic package in all. Enjoy x

If you had to put together an Australian supergroup of electronic artists chances are Anthony Pappa, Danny Bonnici and Phil K would be high on your list. Well, no need to worry yourselves, we’ve done it for you.

The collaboration came about when Anthony Pappa was putting his Moments Volume 2 compilation together and the track featured as an exclusive on the album. Now with remixes from Nomad In The Dark and Andy Newland & Oscitone, “Blending With The Ether” is looming large in clubland with support coming thick and fast from some of the world’s most discerning disc selectors.

Get your chops around this little monster…

AT057Nick Muir returns to the Audio Therapy fold after the success of his “G Platz” and “Tenko” releases with his latest offering, “Fu Man Chew”. 2009 has been a busy year for Nick releasing new tracks with long time partner John Digweed in the form of “Tangent” and “Aquatonic” alongside remixes for Timo Maas and Christian Smith & John Selway.

On the remix tip we are very proud to include the prodigious talents of Egostereo and Wiretappeur. The Italian duo of Egostereo have emerged as one of the hottest talents in the progressive/techno genre in 2009 and what a fantastic job they have done again here bringing that signature sound perfectly into play. Wiretappeur meanwhile is the alias for the trio of Florian Kruse, Nils Nurnberg and Stel who have had 2 critically acclaimed releases on Fresh Meat and continue their rich vein of form here with a beautiful deep house monster full of luscious chords and deep grooves.

It’s another carefully and lovingly constructed package from your friends at Audio Therapy catering for all your electronic house needs. You’re welcome.

Jamie McHugh ‘Wrong’

by Dave on October 19, 2009

Jamie McHugh WrongWith releases on the likes of Brique Rouge, Underwater, Lot 49 and CR2, it’s no surprise that Jamie McHugh’s productions are getting some major attention from an array of DJ’s. His music is hitting a huge cross section of people from Laurent Garnier to Sasha and has seen him remixing the likes of Josh Wink and Tom Pooks as well as collaborating with Darren Emerson.

The original mix of ‘Wrong’ is centred around a big fat full on rolling bassline that drives the track from start to finish with a really swung and groovy feel to it. On the remix front we have 4 excellent remixes, Harvey McKay of Soma Records fame uses the bass sound to its full potential creating a darker and more twisted version. Jesus Gonsev adds some luscious pad sounds to his remix which takes us on an all round deeper trip sounding like something Underworld would have done back in the day. The remix from Kink is a much more percussive influenced mix giving off a much techier vibe than the other mixes. Last and by no means least is the remix from Faceless which is on a much housier tip again with added depth from some nice string stabs with lots of fills and drops that should work well on the floor.

Another quality package with a version for everyone. We hope you enjoy.
